Kai Trump, the 18-year-old granddaughter of former President Donald Trump, has posted a series of photos documenting her recent visit to the iconic Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia. The trip occurred just days after her mother Vanessa's boyfriend, golf legend Tiger Woods, flew to Switzerland for rehabilitation following his DUI arrest.
Augusta National Experience
Daily Mail reporters spotted Kai Trump wandering around the grounds of the prestigious Masters golf course on Tuesday morning. The YouTuber and golf influencer, who is the daughter of Donald Trump Jr., was seen near Augusta National's famed clubhouse, where notable members Sir Nick Faldo and Annika Sorenstam were present.
Kai then ventured inside the ropes to watch some of golf's greatest players prepare for this week's tournament, where they will compete for the coveted green jacket. On Thursday night, she shared numerous photos from her day, including several shots taken out on the legendary course.
Golf Connections
The University of Miami golf commit was photographed posing with American golf star Bryson DeChambeau and his caddie Greg Bodine during her Augusta visit. Kai's appearance at the tournament comes amid significant turmoil in her mother's personal life involving Tiger Woods.
Tiger Woods' Legal and Health Challenges
Woods, 50, was detained on March 27 after flipping his SUV while attempting to overtake a truck and trailer at high speed in Jupiter Island, Florida. Police found two pills in his pocket during the incident. The scandalized golf legend has since flown to Switzerland to seek treatment, vowing to step away from the sport to focus on his health and recovery.
The five-time Masters champion had been weighing whether to participate in this year's tournament at the time of his arrest. Woods faces charges of driving under the influence, property damage, and refusal to submit to a lawful test. He has pleaded not guilty and is scheduled to appear in court on May 5.
Vanessa Trump's Support
Vanessa Trump, the former daughter-in-law of President Trump, has been dating the 15-time major winner since around Thanksgiving 2024. Their relationship was exclusively revealed by the Daily Mail in March last year.
In the wake of Woods' latest accident—his fourth since 2009—Vanessa has publicly shown her support. She recently shared a picture of the couple together with the caption "Love you" accompanied by two red hearts. Behind the scenes, sources indicate Vanessa has been pushing Woods to receive the best possible care and will not tolerate another repeat of the troubles that have plagued his life away from sport.
Rehab Approval and Travel
A judge recently granted Woods permission to travel outside the United States for rehabilitation as he battles prescription pill dependency. Shortly after receiving approval, his private jet touched down in Zurich, Switzerland, where an ultra-private rehab facility is located.
Just days before Woods' crash, Vanessa and her daughter Kai watched from the stands in Florida as Woods made a highly anticipated return to golf at his TGL (The Golf League) event.
Augusta Membership Controversy
Kai's appearance at Augusta came one day after golf coaching icon Butch Harmon stated he never expects her grandfather to be granted membership to the prestigious club. Harmon, who has known Donald Trump for decades, suggested the former president's personality doesn't align with Augusta's membership profile.
"I think you can answer that yourself—because he's Trump," Harmon said in a recent interview. "He's the type of person that I don't think fits the profile of an Augusta member. I don't think his personality mixes with that particular club."
Harmon noted that while other presidents like Clinton and Obama have played golf, they haven't become Augusta members either, suggesting the issue relates more to personal compatibility than political status.
