Arteta Demands 'Animal' Support as Arsenal Host Brentford in Crucial Clash
Arteta urges 'animal' support for Arsenal vs Brentford

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has issued a rousing rallying cry to the club's supporters, urging them to turn up 'like animals' for Wednesday night's Premier League fixture against Brentford at the Emirates Stadium.

A Call to Arms for the Emirates Faithful

With his side sitting five points clear at the top of the table, Arteta emphasised the critical role the home crowd can play in maintaining their momentum. The Gunners head into the match after a hard-fought 1-1 draw away at Chelsea on Sunday, a game where the Blues had Moises Caicedo sent off late in the first half.

Addressing the media ahead of the 7.30pm kick-off on Wednesday, Arteta left no doubt about the atmosphere he expects. 'That is an opportunity tomorrow at 7.30pm everybody, to be at the Emirates, bouncing and putting energy to win the game,' he stated. '7.30pm like animals, everybody at the Emirates to go again and beat Brentford.'

Injury Concerns and Squad Management

Arteta continues to navigate a busy schedule and several injury setbacks. Key defender William Saliba missed the Chelsea match with a minor issue, and his availability for the Brentford game remains in doubt. 'He had a little niggle, so I think it's going to be a matter of days,' Arteta said, hoping the Frenchman could return soon.

The squad is also without Brazilian centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes, who is recovering from a thigh problem sustained on international duty. Forward Leandro Trossard is another absentee. Arteta praised his squad's resilience in coping with these absences, calling it 'the key of the season'.

Navigating a Packed Fixture List

The match against Thomas Frank's side is the first of two in a demanding week, with a trip to face Aston Villa looming on Saturday. Arteta acknowledged the challenge of managing player workloads while competing on two fronts, with Arsenal also leading their Champions League group after five consecutive wins.

'We try to manage every case, every individual... with the only purpose to have the best options on the pitch and to be better than the opponent,' he explained. He warned that Brentford would pose distinct threats that his team must dominate to secure another vital three points.

Despite their commanding league position, Arteta insisted motivation is not an issue. 'Our motivation comes from preparation... Where we are in the league and what we are doing, I don't think we need any more motivation than that,' he concluded, setting the stage for a fervent night in North London.
