President Donald Trump jokingly suggested that he would leave the White House after another two terms on Monday as he hosted business leaders in Washington, before launching into a rant about how physically and mentally fit he was to be president.

Remarks at Small Business Summit

The president was hosting a small business summit on Monday before the president’s remarks to the press and assembled guests. His remarks began around the president’s economic record and the tax cuts in the “Big, Beautiful Bill” legislation passed last year, but in typical fashion veered wildly off course within a few minutes.

Quip About Leaving Office

“When I get out of office in, let's say, eight or nine years from now, I'll be able to use it. I'll be able to use it myself,” Trump quipped about one provision in that legislation meant to allow businesses to deduct the costs of new facilities. The remark drew laughs from around the room.
