Sam Pang May Not Return to Host Logies 2025 Amid Speculation
Sam Pang May Not Host Logies 2025

Sam Pang captivated audiences as the host of the Logies last year, but speculation is mounting that the 52-year-old comedian will not return for the 2025 ceremony. Pang, who has anchored television's night of nights since 2023, may be stepping away from the high-profile role, according to unconfirmed reports from TV Tonight.

Sam Pang's Logies Legacy

Pang's cheeky and irreverent style as Logies host over three consecutive years proved immensely popular with viewers and the television industry's A-list. His tenure also delivered significant ratings wins for the Seven Network, which broadcasts the event. However, the publication suggests that the awards show could relocate from Sydney's Star Casino, where it has been held since 2023, and will see new producers, with Eureka Productions taking over from ITV Australia.

Ratings Success and Fan Approval

Pang's debut as host in 2023 was a resounding success, drawing 877,000 viewers. Many tuned in specifically to see him, and he was credited with the show's strong performance. His sharp-edged humour targeted everything from reality television to celebrity scandals. In his opening monologue, he took aim at Married At First Sight, calling it 'a clear sign we'll not make it as a species', and joked about commercial TV's lack of diversity, saying, 'I'm the first host in the history of the Logies to be half and half - half Channel Seven, half Channel Ten.'

The Seven Network secured the broadcast rights from Channel Nine in 2022, and Pang returned for the 2024 and 2025 ceremonies, continuing his unapologetic comedic approach.

Mixed Reception for Talk Show Venture

Pang's foray into late-night talk shows with Sam Pang Tonight on Channel Ten received mixed reactions. The premiere in March 2025 drew criticism from some viewers on X, with one commenting, 'Oh s***... I said I'd give it five minutes... I lasted three,' and another noting, 'In the age of long-form podcasts, 10-minute segments feel clumsy and awkward.' Despite this, Channel Ten renewed the show for a second eight-episode season, which aired in October 2025.

Daily Mail has contacted Sam Pang and the Logies for comment regarding the hosting speculation.
