Nicole Kidman and daughter Sunday Rose match at Met Gala

Nicole Kidman made a glamorous appearance at the Met Gala on Monday night, accompanied by her 17-year-old daughter, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, who made her debut at the event. Kidman served as co-chair for the third time, alongside Venus Williams, Beyoncé, and Anna Wintour.

The actress wore a sequined red Chanel gown with long sleeves, a flowing train, and scarlet feathers at the hips and cuffs. She accessorised with Chanel jewellery and an Omega watch, and styled her long blonde hair straight down her back, reminiscent of Rapunzel.

Sunday Rose matched her mother with equally long hair, reaching her hips, with a section pulled to the front. She wore a strapless pink Dior dress with floral embellishments and a sheer column skirt, paired with matching floral earrings for her first Met Gala.

The 2026 Met Gala theme is 'Costume Art', with a dress code of 'Fashion Is Art', asking guests to 'illuminate the indivisible connection between clothing and the body'. Sunday Rose, who has walked runways for Miu Miu and Dior, revealed that her parents, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, set strict rules for her modelling career, including no fashion work until age 16 and prioritising school.
