Nicole Kidman and Daughter Sunday Rose Match at Met Gala

Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban took a page out of her famous mother's book on Monday when she and Nicole Kidman stepped out in matching hairpieces. The mother-daughter duo walked the red carpet at the 2026 Met Gala in New York while sporting very long and glossy locks for their 'Fashion is Art' ensembles.

Garbed in a custom-made Dior creation by Jonathan Anderson, Sunday, 17, left her lengthy brunette tresses down over the pink and lavender frock. Her bodice was strapless with a boxed shape, constructed with three-dimensional floral embellishments. Meanwhile, her skirt slightly trailed along the ground with a flowing, lightweight fabric.

The aspiring model walked the red carpet alongside her mother Nicole, 58, who flaunted her figure in a red Chanel gown styled by Jason Bolden. Nicole also went with extra-long tresses for the evening, adding extensions to her blonde locks for an ethereal look to match her daughter.

The mother-daughter duo were seen walking the red carpet hand-in-hand, pausing to pose together and share affectionate glances. Despite being just 17, Sunday has already carved out a growing presence in the fashion world. Alongside her studies, she has walked for Calvin Klein and Miu Miu in Paris and Milan. She has also sat front row at Chanel and Balenciaga shows with her mother, and appeared in campaigns for Dior. Additionally, Sunday has begun landing magazine covers and editorial spreads, steadily building a profile beyond her famous family name.

However, the Met Gala marked a particularly significant milestone for the teenager, as she attended The Metropolitan Museum of Art alongside her mother for one of fashion's most high-profile nights. In addition to Nicole, the 2026 Met Gala is co-chaired by Beyoncé and Venus Williams, with a star-studded host committee that includes Anthony Vaccarello, Zoë Kravitz, Sabrina Carpenter, Alex Consani, Misty Copeland, Lena Dunham, Teyana Taylor and others.

The event marked the opening of the Costume Institute's new exhibition, Costume Art, which explores the relationship between fashion and the body through an artistic lens. The mother-daughter Met Gala appearance comes after Nicole and Keith Urban shocked fans last September when they announced the end of their marriage, closing the book on their 19-year relationship. While the legal aspects of the split have reportedly been settled quietly, sources say the emotional fallout is still playing out behind the scenes. Sunday most recently landed in the media spotlight amid their separation when she unfollowed her father on Instagram, only to follow him again just hours later.
