Christina Ricci Blasts Megyn Kelly Over 'Dangerous' Epstein Remarks
Ricci condemns Kelly's 'dangerous' Epstein victim comments

Actress Christina Ricci has launched a scathing public attack on commentator Megyn Kelly, accusing her of dangerously downplaying the crimes of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Explosive Instagram Condemnation

The Yellowjackets star, 45, took to her Instagram Story on November 14 to express her fury at Kelly's recent podcast commentary about Epstein's victims. Ricci reposted content from betches_news that highlighted Kelly's controversial remarks, which included the host drawing distinctions between the ages of Epstein's victims.

In screenshots captured by BuzzFeed, one post directly challenged Kelly's position: 'There's definitely a difference between a 5-year-old and a 15-year-old. But that difference is not 'whether or not sleeping with them makes you a pedophile.''

Kelly's Controversial Distinctions

On her show, Kelly had discussed the House Oversight Committee's release of Epstein emails, quoting a source close to the case who claimed Epstein 'was not a pedophile.' Kelly stated: 'He wasn't into 8-year-olds, but he liked the very young teen types… There's a difference between a 15-year-old and a 5-year-old, you know?'

Though Kelly briefly referred to the topic as 'disgusting' and insisted she wasn't 'trying to make an excuse,' she maintained she was sharing factual distinctions. The political podcaster explained she had been 'reliably told' this about Epstein for years, until Attorney General Pam Bondi stated the FBI was reviewing 'tens of thousands of videos of Epstein with children or child porn.'

Kelly admitted that was the first time she thought: 'Oh, no, he was an actual pedophile.' However, she expressed doubt about Bondi's comments, saying: 'I don't know whether it's true. I have to be honest, I don't really trust Pam Bondi's word on the Epstein matters anymore.'

Widespread Backlash and Ricci's Personal Connection

Ricci's reaction was swift and uncompromising. She wrote over the post on her Instagram Story: 'This woman is a danger to children.'

The backlash extended across social media platform X, where users universally condemned Kelly's remarks. One user wrote: 'I want Megyn Kelly to say this to a 15-year-old victim's face. I want her to look that child in the eye and say it's less bad.' Another commented: 'A 15-year-old is still a child. Period. There are no exceptions. This is horrifying.'

According to the indictment used when Epstein was charged with sex trafficking of minors in July 2019, his victims were allegedly as young as 14 years old. Federal prosecutors claimed Epstein knew many victims were under 18 because some had explicitly told him so. Epstein was found dead in his New York prison cell on August 10, 2019, while awaiting trial, with his death ruled a suicide.

Ricci's sharp response comes months after she publicly shared her own unsettling childhood experience with an adult man. During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! earlier this year, the actress revealed that when she was 11 years old in 1991, she and her friends frequently prank-called the 1-800-Mattress hotline. The situation turned disturbing after one friend gave their address to a man named Jared, who subsequently sent a photograph of his penis through the mail.
