Paris Fury Admits Considering Leaving Tyson 'Couple of Times' Amid Struggles
Paris Fury: I Considered Leaving Tyson a Couple of Times

Paris Fury has revealed that there were a 'couple of times' that she wanted to leave her husband, heavyweight champion boxer Tyson Fury. The 36-year-old mother of seven opened up about her relationship struggles during an appearance on Jamie Laing's Great Company podcast, coinciding with the launch of the second season of their Netflix reality show, At Home with the Furys.

Mental Health Challenges

Paris admitted that she went through 'hell' during periods when Tyson's mental health was poor and he contemplated ending his life. 'You can't understand how someone can wake up and not want to live when you've got everything at their feet. You've got the money, you've got the homes, you've got the kids, you've got the family, you've got the health, but you're depressed,' she said. She explained that it was 'an imbalance in the brain' that one cannot control, and that things improved after he was diagnosed.

Thoughts of Leaving

Paris confessed that she considered leaving Tyson on two occasions, particularly when he was out drinking. 'The kids got put to bed at 7pm, they didn't see dad not coming home until 2 or 3 in the morning, paralytic drunk or other substances as well. Thank God he was only ever detrimental to himself,' she said. She recalled thinking, 'I can't deal with this. I don't want to deal with this,' but ultimately decided to stay, citing 'in sickness and in health.' She added that she loved her husband and did not know what she would come back to if she left, though she clarified that she was not advising others to follow her example.

Family Dynamics

In the same interview, Paris explained why she named four of her seven children 'Prince': after naming the first one Prince, it felt unfair not to give the others the same title. The couple's children are Venezuela, 16, Prince John James, 14, Prince Tyson Fury II, nine, Valencia Amber, eight, Prince Adonis Amaziah, seven, Athena, four, and Prince Rico Paris Fury, two.

Tyson's Rift with His Father

Paris also opened up about the fallout between Tyson and his father, John Fury. She described them as 'two very headstrong people' who 'always go through this.' She emphasised that the rift is genuine, not a social media stunt, and expressed hope that they would resolve it. 'I know they love each other deeply deep down and for whatever reason whether it be pride, or whatever – they have an issue,' she said. Tyson's father had previously told the Daily Mail that boxing had 'completely destroyed' his relationship with his son, while Tyson responded that he was 'not bothered' if his father supported him and that he had 'business to take care of.'
