The mother of influencer Klaudia Zakrzewska has paid a heartbreaking tribute to her 'precious' daughter, who died six days after being struck by a car outside a nightclub in central London.
Klaudia, 32, from Essex, was hit by a vehicle on Argyll Street in Soho at 4:30 am on April 19. The social media influencer, known online as Klaudiaglam, was rushed to hospital but tragically passed away on Saturday.
Gabrielle Carrington, a 29-year-old former X Factor finalist, appeared in court last Tuesday charged with attempted murder. Following Klaudia's death, the Metropolitan Police confirmed on Saturday that the charge would be amended to murder.
A GoFundMe page set up last week in the name of Kinga, Klaudia's mother, described her as 'in a coma and desperately fighting for her life'. In an update on Monday, Kinga wrote: 'My precious daughter has gained her wings and is now at peace among the angels. She brought so much love, joy, and light into our lives, and that light will never fade.'
She continued: 'As we navigate this unimaginable loss, I am committed to giving my beautiful angel the farewell she deserves, a service filled with love, dignity, and the grace that reflects who she was. The funds raised will go toward her funeral arrangements, ensuring she is laid to rest in the most meaningful and special way possible... Part of the donations will help cover legal fees as I pursue the best possible representation to fight for her and her memory.'
Klaudia's mother also thanked people for the love and support shown to the family during this 'incredibly difficult time'. As of reporting, the fundraiser has raised over £26,000.
In addition to the murder charge, Carrington, of Broadfield Road, Manchester, faces charges of dangerous driving, drink driving, grievous bodily harm with intent, and actual bodily harm. A 58-year-old man suffered life-changing injuries in the incident, and another woman sustained a minor wrist injury.
Carrington reached the X Factor live finals in 2013 as a member of Miss Dynamix and now has over 365,000 Instagram followers under the handle RIELLEUK. She did not enter any pleas during a court hearing last week and is scheduled to appear at the Old Bailey on May 19.
