Craig Charles has spoken out about the bullying claims on I'm A Celebrity, insisting that former footballer Jimmy Bullard and professional boxer David Haye were bullying Emmerdale star Adam Thomas.
Dramatic Turn of Events
Things first took a dramatic turn when David Haye accused Adam of being weak after he ruled himself out of a trial. Haye later doubled down, claiming that the Waterloo Road star was using his arthritis to avoid participating in Bushtucker Trials and challenges.
Adam was also at the centre of a row with Jimmy Bullard. He became angry when Jimmy quit a mid-trial, potentially jeopardising Adam's time on the show as they were competing in pairs. Adam swore at Jimmy, and although he later apologised, Jimmy insisted that Adam was 'aggressive' and 'intimidating', and criticised ITV for not showing the full clip. ITV has stated that their broadcast was a 'fair and accurate' representation of events.
Stars Take Sides
The I'm A Celebrity stars have become divided over the ongoing feud between Jimmy Bullard and Adam Thomas. During the explosive live final in London last Friday, the row escalated to the point where Sinitta and Gemma Collins stormed off, and Ant clashed with David and Jimmy.
Now, co-star Craig Charles has shared his opinion on his BBC radio show, The Craig Charles Funk and Soul. He said: 'There is the two issues. Adam posted a lovely post about how he loved being with Harry, Mo and me in the jungle. On the telly last night, he made a fulsome apology to Jimmy Bullard. There's not much more the man can do. He's put his hands up and said I was out of order, I'm sorry, I really apologise. And then what happened to Adam last night, our new jungle legend, that was bang out of order, that was bullying, it was bang out of order. I've never seen anyone so unhappy to win anything and my heart goes out to him.'
Support from Other Campmates
Craig is not the only campmate to call out Jimmy and David. Pussycat Dolls' Ashley Roberts, after being eliminated, insisted that Jimmy's actions towards Adam were 'unfair'. Scarlett Moffatt also slammed her campmates for 'ruining Adam's moment'.
I'm A Celeb All Stars is reportedly not expected to return until 2029, despite the final being a huge success with massive viewing figures.
