A United States Postal Service worker has been taken into custody following a deeply disturbing incident in which he allegedly shoved a four-year-old Jewish child to the pavement. The entire confrontation was captured on surveillance camera, providing clear evidence of the sudden and violent act.
Shocking Attack Caught on Camera
The alarming event unfolded on Thursday evening in the community of Monsey, located within Rockland County approximately thirty miles north of New York City. Security footage shows the young boy approaching a parked USPS mail truck as the postal employee was engaged in delivering letters to a communal mailbox.
Without any apparent warning, the mail carrier abruptly turned around and forcefully pushed the little boy backwards. The child fell onto his back on the sidewalk, visibly distressed. Moments later, he can be seen scrambling to his feet and retrieving his yarmulke, which had fallen off during the altercation, before walking away from the scene.

The following day, Ramapo Police Department arrested a thirty-nine-year-old man from Stony Point who is employed by the United States Postal Service. He has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child and attempted assault in the third degree, both classified as misdemeanor offenses.
After processing, the suspect was released and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date. Police investigators have not yet disclosed a potential motive for why the postal worker targeted the young child. New York State Assemblyman Aron Wieder was unequivocal in his condemnation. "The attack on a four-year-old in Monsey is appalling and deeply troubling, never acceptable under any circumstances," Wieder said, expressing gratitude for the rapid response by local officials and law enforcement.
