Celebrity chef James Martin has revealed his go-to two-ingredient breakfast following a remarkable three-stone weight loss. The 53-year-old presenter of ITV's James Martin's Saturday Morning described the meal as 'simple and very tasty'.
Speaking to Hello! magazine, Martin shared that his favourite dish is 'grilled tomatoes on toast'. He also mentioned barbecued leeks with lardons and hazelnuts as another favourite. The chef's diet now reportedly consists of 80 per cent fish, though he has not given up butter.
Martin attributed his weight loss to his passion for motor racing, explaining on the Spooning with Mark Wogan podcast that he struggled to get in and out of cars. He said: 'It comes down to the fact that I race cars... I actually struggle to get out of them now.' He avoids the gym, instead relying on simple, pure food with great ingredients.
The chef recently travelled to Spain to gather regional recipes for his new cookbook, James Martin's Spanish Adventure. He noted that the recipes were 'specifically created' using ingredients found during his travels.
