UK Festival Bans Controversial Influencer HSTikkyTokky
The organisers of the UK dance festival Forbidden Forest have taken a firm stance against social media influencer Harrison Sullivan, widely known by his online alias HSTikkyTokky. The decision to ban him from the event, scheduled for June, comes in the wake of his controversial appearance on Louis Theroux's Netflix documentary Inside The Manosphere.
Festival's Statement on Safety and Inclusivity
In a clear and decisive move, the festival's management stated that Sullivan represents "the opposite" of what Forbidden Forest aims to embody. They emphasised that the event is designed to be "a space for everyone to feel welcome and safe", a principle they felt was compromised by his public persona and statements.
It has been revealed that Sullivan had initially requested passes to attend the festival, but his application was firmly declined. The organisers went a step further by explicitly asking him "not to attend", underscoring their commitment to maintaining a positive and secure environment for all attendees.
HSTikkyTokky's Mocking Response on Social Media
Harrison Sullivan responded to the ban by sharing a screenshot of the rejection email on his social media platforms, accompanied by a sarcastic comment. He wrote, "Oooooh no. Can’t go to an event in the UK. So upset. What am I going to do now?!?!" He further added, "All the lesbians in the comments check it.", a remark that has drawn additional criticism for its tone and implications.
Controversial Claims in Louis Theroux's Documentary
The ban is directly linked to Sullivan's appearance in the Netflix documentary, where he made a series of provocative statements that sparked widespread debate. During the filming, he declared that he would "disown" a daughter if she ever started an OnlyFans account, despite the fact that he actively promotes creators on the platform as part of his own business activities.
He also stated that if a future son "came out as gay", he would cut ties with him. In a bold and unapologetic moment, Sullivan told the cameras, "Call me racist, call me a misogynist, call me homophobic, call me a scammer – I’m all those things."
Post-Documentary Fallout and Accusations
Following the documentary's release, Sullivan launched into a furious online rant, claiming that he had "exposed" Louis Theroux rather than the other way around. He accused Theroux of hypocrisy, arguing that while the documentary criticised the manosphere, it also promoted it to a global audience via Netflix. Sullivan asserted, "He is a total, total, hypocrite. And I’ve exposed him, yet again."
Heated Exchange with Piers Morgan on Talk TV
The controversy escalated earlier this week when Sullivan appeared on a live-streamed debate on Piers Morgan's Talk TV show. The discussion quickly turned heated, with both men speaking over each other. Morgan expressed his disdain, stating, "I couldn't care less about his silly little insults."
The situation deteriorated further when Sullivan displayed an image on camera that he alleged was Piers Morgan's wife posing by a 'pool boy' sign. In response, a visibly furious Morgan instructed his production crew to end the segment, saying, "Let's end this, please." He then walked off the set, declaring, "I'm not doing this, guys, it's pointless." Sullivan remained on screen, laughing at the turn of events.
Morgan's Blunt Assessment of the Influencer
During their conversation, Morgan did not hold back in his criticism of Sullivan. When asked why he had a problem with him, Morgan responded bluntly, "Do you know what? Here is what I think about you. I watched the documentary, and I think you're a f**king idiot. I think you're a sexist, misogynist, homophobic twerp who got exposed in a global way by Netflix, by Louis Theroux, for what you are. You're a little halfwit."
After Sullivan told Morgan not to "get rattled", the journalist ended the conversation and exited the set. The sound was cut as Morgan departed, but Sullivan could be heard laughing while holding two phones in his hands.
Continued Backlash on Social Media
Since the incident, Harrison Sullivan has continued to engage with the backlash on social media platform X. In a video response, he labelled Piers Morgan as "one of the most spineless men that I've ever met". He went on to claim that Morgan would "say whatever he thinks the woke leftist behind him" wants to hear, branding him an "idiot" and asserting that he got "punked on his own show".
Sullivan concluded by suggesting that a more respectful approach could have led to a normal conversation, saying, "Go back to the drawing board, and maybe if you'd have just come to me with a little bit of respect, we could have had a normal conversation."
The ban from Forbidden Forest marks a significant moment in the ongoing public discourse surrounding social media influencers, controversial content, and the boundaries of acceptable behaviour at public events. It highlights the growing tension between online personas and real-world consequences, particularly in spaces that prioritise community safety and inclusivity.
