Ram-Raid Home Linked to Quinn Brothers in Murder Plot

A home in Glasgow's Barlanark area was ram-raided and firebombed in an attack linked to two brothers facing trial for multiple murder bids on the Daniel crime clan and cronies of mob boss Mark Richardson.

Brothers Accused of Conspiracy to Murder

Andrew Quinn, 32, and James Quinn, 27, are facing trial over a series of violent attacks on individuals and homes as part of a bloody turf war across Scotland. The property targeted in Garvel Crescent in the early hours of Thursday morning is understood to be occupied by people close to the brothers. A car was crashed into the living room window before thugs tossed a petrol bomb into the mangled vehicle and fled. Pictures from the scene showed a white Nissan Juke ablaze outside the home, with debris from inside the house strewn across the garden.

Allegations Against the Quinn Brothers

The Quinn brothers are set to go on trial next year. They are alleged to have conspired to murder 17 people, including a child, from the Daniel crime clan between September 1, 2024, and May 9, 2025, at locations in Bishopbriggs, Blantyre, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stepps. The allegations include claims they identified targets and used firearms, machetes, stolen vehicles and balaclavas. They deny all charges against them.

Intended Targets Named

Their intended targets were named at a preliminary hearing at the High Court in Glasgow in March. They include high-ranking Daniel crew members Norman Daniel, Annette Daniel and Robert Daniel, alongside James Daniel, Michelle Daniel, Margaret Daniel and Kerris Daniel. Also listed are Margaret McIntyre, Leanne McIntyre, Arran McIntyre and Lisa Gemmel. The charges allege they further plotted to murder Edinburgh cocaine mob boss Mark Richardson and others linked to him, including close pals Patrick Beatson and David McMillan. Other targets named are Jessie McMillan, John Paul Newton and George McNichol.

Further Attacks Alleged

The Quinns face the allegation that they agreed “to be part of a group known as Tamo Junto (“TMJ”) and recruit others to carry out crimes of violence, fire-raising and vandalism on behalf of said group in exchange for payment of money, employment or controlled drugs.” They are also accused of targeting three properties in Glasgow on April 7 last year, and setting fire to a carpet factory in Bishopbriggs linked to the Daniel clan between April 7 and 8. One week later, on April 14, it is claimed they launched further coordinated firebomb attacks at the homes of Steven 'Bonzo' Daniel, 46, and Norman 'Snudge' Daniel, 73 in Bishopbriggs. And on April 17, the brothers allegedly torched the front door of Richardson's pal David McMillan's house in the plush Pitcain Grove area of the capital. The attack happened on the six year anniversary of the assassination of Trainspotting T2 star Bradley Welsh, who was best pals with McMillan.

Additional Charges

The brothers are accused of firebomb attacks at the home of Richardson associate Paddy Beatson's home in Niddrie Marischal Crescent and at another property on Prestonfield Crescent on the same night. The court also heard that two days later, Andrew Quinn engaged in electronic communication with another person to murder Mark Richardson in exchange for payment. He is also accused of a murder bid on Robert Daniel at Dawsholm Recycling Centre in Glasgow on September 11, 2021, striking his head and body with a machete. The brothers deny all the charges and are due to go on trial at court next April.

Previous Attack on the Same Property

Thursday's attack on the home in Barlanark is the second time the property has hit the headlines this year after a previous ram-raid at the house in February when a vehicle was rammed into the side of the building. In May 2025, specialist cops armed with chainsaws and batons smashed their way into the home at 5am. Officers used the tools to hack away at a full-length window before storming the semi-detached house and seizing two suspects from within. Screaming was heard inside as cops shouted "Get your hands up" and "Get in the corner now." Moments later, two men were led out of the house by plainclothes cops and into unmarked police cars. One of the men stuck his middle finger up at our reporter while he was marched away in handcuffs as startled neighbours stepped outside to watch the chaos unfold. Detectives later confirmed the pair were arrested in connection with conspiracy to murder and directing serious and organised crime.
