Retired NBA star Kenyon Martin has publicly confronted and humiliated a podcast producer over a video that allegedly mocked the former All-Star's lifelong speech impediment. The dramatic incident unfolded during a regular appearance on ex-NBA player Gilbert Arenas' popular podcast, Gil's Arena, where the 48-year-old Martin interrupted the show to address what he described as a profound betrayal of trust.
A Public Confrontation Over a 'Sensitive Subject'
Martin began by explaining that someone close to the podcast team had crossed a serious line. 'Something recently was brought to my attention that one of the people that works here that we see daily and I brought this person into my home, right?' Martin stated emphatically. 'Had this person around my wife, my kids, right? Treated with nothing but respect. Right?'
He framed the situation as a critical lesson in loyalty and caution. 'This is a loyalty situation. I want people with their kids, teaching situation. When people tell you be careful who you bring into your inner circle, be careful who you bring into your home, this is this situation that I'm speaking of right now.'
The Producer Is Called Out
The producer, identified only as 'Suge,' was then summoned to the set. Martin handed over his phone and demanded an explanation. 'I need you to do some explaining to me, brother,' Martin said. 'So, can you explain this video to me?' 'There is no apology ever that as an adult that I would accept for this,' he asserted. 'Had I saw it back then, we would've had this conversation. Don't ever be in my presence ever again is what I want.'

He explained that while the producer did work and socialize with Martin, the offensive video was created long before the two developed any personal or professional relationship. 'Now Kenyon thinks 'I had you in my house around my family and kids' but it's one of those things where it's like, no it was before,' Arenas told his listeners.
