Rebecca Gayheart has stepped out publicly for the first time since the death of her husband, actor Eric Dane, who died on 19 February at age 53 after a battle with ALS.
The 54-year-old actress attended the Los Angeles premiere of The Drama on Tuesday night with her two daughters, Billie, 16, and Georgia, 14, whom she shared with Dane. Gayheart wore a striped dress and a small pink purse, while her daughters wore white lace and light pink dresses respectively.
Dane, best known for his role on Grey's Anatomy, was diagnosed with ALS less than a year before his death. He and Gayheart married in 2004 and separated in 2017, but remained legally married. Gayheart filed for divorce in 2025 but dismissed it after Dane's diagnosis.
Despite their estrangement, Gayheart cared for Dane until his death. In a statement, his family said he was surrounded by loved ones, including his 'devoted wife' and daughters. Dane had previously called Gayheart his 'best friend' and 'biggest champion' in a pre-recorded interview.
Gayheart told Variety last week that she and her daughters have been overwhelmed by support from the entertainment community, saying, 'They've been holding me and the girls up the last two weeks, and I don't think they're going anywhere.'
