The frail pair, whose identities have not been publicly disclosed, were arrested weeks ago without formal charges. Their relatives claim they are being held in inadequate facilities, with limited access to medical care—raising fears for their survival.
Family's Desperate Plea
The couple's anguished family has appealed to the UK government for urgent diplomatic intervention. "They are not criminals—they are vulnerable elderly people who need proper care," a relative told reporters.
Deteriorating Health Conditions
Sources close to the family say the couple suffers from chronic health issues, exacerbated by poor detention conditions. "Without immediate action, we fear the worst," the relative added.
