Aldi's New 'Live Healthy' Logo Aims to Boost Shoppers' Confidence
Aldi launches 'Live Healthy' logo to aid shoppers

Supermarket giant Aldi is rolling out a significant new initiative designed to help its customers make more informed and healthier food choices.

Clear Signposting for Healthier Shopping

From next week, a new 'Live Healthy' logo will begin appearing on a range of Aldi's own-label products. This clear and simple emblem is intended to highlight items that contribute to a balanced diet, as outlined by the UK's official Eatwell Guide.

The logo will feature on various goods, including fresh produce, soups, and yoghurts. Every product carrying the mark has been assessed against strict nutritional criteria, giving shoppers added confidence when selecting items for their baskets.

Aligning with National Health Goals

This launch follows the Government's recent announcement of its new 10-year health strategy, with Aldi committing to several actions to support public health. To measure its progress, the UK's fourth-largest supermarket has set ambitious targets.

Aldi has confirmed it aims for 85% of its sales to come from healthy products by 2027. Additionally, the retailer is targeting a 14% increase in the volume of fruit and vegetables it sells by the end of 2027.

A Commitment to Affordable Nutrition

Julie Ashfield, Chief Commercial Officer at Aldi UK, commented on the new scheme. "At Aldi, our mission has always been to make a variety of healthy food affordable for all," she said. "We know our customers want affordable, healthier options that fit into their everyday lives. The 'Live Healthy' logo is a simple, trustworthy signpost to help them do just that – without compromising on price or taste."

This is not Aldi's first step in promoting nutritious eating. The discounter already runs several related initiatives, such as its Super 6 offers on fresh fruit and vegetables. It also partners with Team GB and ParalympicsGB through the Get Set To Eat Fresh programme, which educates children aged 5–14 on how to cook nutritious and affordable meals.

In other positive news for consumers, Aldi has announced plans to open 16 new stores across the UK by December 12, expanding its reach ahead of the busy Christmas period.
