The 46-year-old culinary personality took to Instagram over the weekend to reveal that her 13-year-old canine companion is currently fighting a serious lung infection and has been in intensive care since Thursday.

In a series of heartfelt posts, Maehashi disclosed the grave nature of Dozer's condition. She explained that the lung infection has unfortunately spread to both of his lungs. This development is particularly concerning given Dozer's age—he is nearly 14 years old—and his pre-existing medical issues, which include laryngeal paralysis and neurological degradation.
'Given his existing medical condition and age, I've been and will continue to be by his side every minute I can,' Maehashi wrote in a caption that has touched the hearts of her many followers.
