Dr Emily Andre's Hilarious Motherhood Video Goes Viral on Instagram
Dr Emily Andre, the wife of singer Peter Andre, has been widely praised as 'absolutely brilliant' for a hilariously relatable video she shared on Instagram, showcasing the everyday struggles of motherhood. The 36-year-old NHS doctor, who is married to the 52-year-old 'Mysterious Girl' singer, posted the clip on Sunday, offering fans a candid glimpse into her home life beyond the red carpet.
A Blended Family and Busy Life
Emily and Peter Andre met in 2010 and tied the knot in 2015, building a blended family that includes five children. Together, they share Amelia, aged 12, Theo, nine, and Arabella, 22 months. Peter is also a father to Junior, 20, and Princess, 18, from his previous relationship with ex-wife Katie Price. As Emily balances her demanding career as a doctor with the responsibilities of being a mother, her video highlights the realities of domestic life.
The Viral Video and Fan Reactions
In the video, Emily is seen standing over a sink, washing a stack of children's crockery, with the sarcastic caption: 'AI is going to take your job, when?' The clip features her pulling a sarcastic smile while performing a range of household chores, such as loading the dishwasher, cleaning floors, sitting in a child's playpen to sort through toys, and clearing away toddler food from a highchair.
Fans quickly flocked to the comment box, expressing their amusement and admiration. One fan wrote: 'What a beautiful human being. You lucky man Peter.' Others added comments like: 'Exactly! When pretty please?'; 'Absolutely brilliant'; and 'Hahaahahah! I know that feeling.' The post resonated deeply with many, highlighting the shared experiences of parenthood.
Emily Andre's Parenting Philosophy
Emily has been open about her parenting style in the past, recently revealing that she avoids complimenting her daughter Amelia's looks to prevent her from becoming obsessed with appearance. Speaking on the True Reflections with Gia Mills podcast in January, she explained that she focuses on celebrating her children's strengths, talents, and personality traits instead.
'What I try and do with the kids, which I'm sure is what all parents do, is I really try and focus on their strength, the things that they're good at, and really build that up,' Emily said. 'I try not to focus that much on appearance. I mean, that sounds really odd. When you go to compliment someone, quite often, the first thing that comes out is, "I really love your hair, or... you look really beautiful." I think especially with girls.'
She added: 'I do compliment their appearance - I say to my little boy, you look really handsome today. But I really try and focus a lot more on their attributes and the things that they are good at. Just to make it not all about how you look. I know that sounds strange.'
Background and Family Rules
Emily met Peter in 2010 when her father, consultant urologist Dr Ruaraidh MacDonagh, operated on the singer for kidney stones. The couple has implemented strict family rules, including banning their children from social media until they turn 16, emphasizing a balanced and mindful approach to upbringing amidst their public lives.
