The most spellbinding and extraordinary images from the natural world have been unveiled, as the finalists for the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition are announced by the Natural History Museum in London.

Now in its 59th year, the competition received a staggering 49,957 entries from photographers hailing from 95 countries. This global showcase not only celebrates artistic talent and technical skill but also serves as a vital reminder of the beauty, fragility, and resilience of our planet's ecosystems.
The winning images will be announced at an awards ceremony in London on October 10th, after which the entire collection will embark on an international tour, allowing the public to witness these incredible moments of natural drama and wonder.
