Frozen Pizzas Sold at Aldi and Walmart Recalled Over Salmonella Risk
Frozen Pizzas at Aldi and Walmart Recalled for Salmonella

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued a public health alert for several varieties of frozen pizzas sold at Aldi and Walmart due to a potential salmonella contamination risk.

Recall Details

The recall stems from a dairy-based dry milk powder ingredient that was previously recalled by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This ingredient has the potential to be contaminated with salmonella, a bacteria that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, elderly individuals, and those with weakened immune systems.

Affected Products

  • Mama Cozzi’s Biscuit Crust pizzas sold at Aldi
  • Great Value frozen pizzas from Walmart
  • Culinary Circle’s Ultra Thin Crust Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza
  • Pork King’s Sour Cream & Onion Pork Rinds also recalled due to the same potentially contaminated dry milk powder

Consumers are advised to check their freezers for these products and either discard them or return them to the store for a full refund. As of the alert date, no confirmed reports of adverse reactions have been received.
