Jeremy Clarkson's pub, The Farmer's Dog, has become a major attraction in the Cotswolds, drawing thousands of visitors daily. A recent visit revealed scenes reminiscent of a festival, with stewards directing traffic to a vast field serving as a car park, filled with hundreds of vehicles. The pub, located about 10 miles south of Clarkson's Diddly Squat farm shop, has been almost entirely booked up for June and July, according to a visitor who secured a Sunday lunch reservation last year.
The pub's beer garden, overlooking the Oxfordshire countryside, was packed with patrons enjoying Hawkstone beer, in which Clarkson owns a major stake. A large shop adjacent to the pub sells branded souvenirs, including crates and gift packs of Hawkstone lager, stout, IPA, and cider, as well as Diddly Squat farm produce like honey and jams. Despite the crowds, reserved diners were ushered to the front of the queue by dedicated staff.
The visitor described the experience as 'stunned,' noting that the number of cars and people exceeded expectations. The pub's popularity mirrors the issues faced by Clarkson's original farm shop, which drew complaints about traffic and parking from neighbours and council officials. Series five of 'Clarkson's Farm,' launching on Amazon Prime Video, is expected to document the pub's ongoing operations.
