Amanda Owen, star of Channel 5's 'Our Yorkshire Farm', has opened up about her struggle with 'seriously cold conditions' at Raveseat Farm. The 50-year-old shepherdess, who announced her split from husband Clive Owen in 2022, shared a series of videos on Instagram detailing her battle against the big freeze.
In one clip, Owen is seen trudging through icy fields in search of a missing sheep named 'Blindie Eye'. The weather, which has brought ice and snow, forced her to abandon the search and return to her truck. 'The weather has taken a turn for the worst, it is now snowing and it is so cold,' she said. 'No sign of Blindie Eye but I'm sure she is fine. I just need this weather to calm down so she can come out of where she is hiding.'
Owen added: 'I am so far behind with EVERYTHING! Seriously cold conditions, little in the way of snow but temperatures well below zero and a wind chill that takes your breath away.' She described the search as 'hide and seek with sheep', a game she is not fond of when the weather turns.
Fans flooded the comments with support, calling her 'committed', 'made of tough stuff', and a 'warrior shepherdess'. One wrote: 'A mother who never gives up fighting against the scorching heat of summer, the rain of spring, and the snow of winter.'
