The Traitors Fans Rumbled Secret Traitor Fiona Hughes Before Reveal
Traitors viewers spotted secret Traitor clues

Sharp-witted viewers of BBC's hit reality show The Traitors claim they identified the secret contestant hiding beneath the red cloak long before the dramatic unveiling on Wednesday night's episode.

The Secret is Out

The scheming identity was finally revealed to be Fiona Hughes, a 62-year-old local government worker from Swansea. Host Claudia Winkleman had secretly handed her the role in the very first episode, tasking her with sabotaging the Faithfuls' efforts from within.

Following the uncloaking in the show's iconic turret, fans flocked to social media platform X to declare they had pieced together the puzzle early. Many pointed to the ample screentime Fiona received in the edit as a major clue.

One viewer commented, 'Low key disappointed that the secret traitor is Fiona, I feel like the edit made it too obvious.' Another triumphant fan posted, 'I knew it was Fiona. Let me go and submit my application for The Traitors season 5.'

Fan Reactions and Show Shockwaves

Reactions were mixed, with some wishing the mystery had lasted longer. 'Would have liked another week or so of not knowing who the Secret Traitor was,' wrote one, while another admitted, 'I'm quite disappointed the "secret Traitor" has been revealed already. I was enjoying them (Fiona) calling the shots!'

The reveal also sent shockwaves through the castle. After the banishment of Hugo Bailey, 51, fellow Traitors Stephen Libby, 32, and Rachel Duffy, 42, were visibly stunned. Fiona boasted to them, 'I was wonderful, wasn't I? Hollywood is beckoning... I have basically done your job for you for the past few nights.'

Her new allies expressed nervous admiration. Rachel stated, 'Fiona coming in makes me nervous, she is going to ruffle a few feathers,' and Stephen conceded, 'She is playing a very good game.'

Odds and a Second Bombshell

Bookmakers had also suspected Fiona. A spokesperson for MyBettingSites revealed before the episode, 'Fiona's insistence that she's deliberately playing dumb around the others only adds fuel to the fire, which is why she has the highest odds of being the Secret Traitor: 2/1.'

The episode delivered another surprise with the banishment of personal trainer Ross Garshong, 37. In an emotional moment, fellow contestant, psychologist Dr Ellie Buckley, then revealed a hidden connection, telling cameras, 'I'm really sad to see him go, especially because Ross is actually my boyfriend.'

Suspicions about their relationship had begun when they boarded the train in the Scottish Highlands in the premiere, with viewers noting they seemed too familiar for two strangers.
