Taylor Sheridan's latest Yellowstone spin-off, 'Dutton Ranch', has become Paramount+'s biggest original series launch, amassing 12.9 million views within its first seven days. The previous record holder, 'MobLand', drew 8.8 million views in its 2025 premiere.
The series, which debuted its first two episodes on May 15, centres on Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser's characters Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler as they relocate to South Texas. Its premiere on Paramount Network also garnered 2.9 million live-plus-same-day viewers, marking the biggest new cable series premiere since 2023.
'Dutton Ranch' is the fourth instalment in Sheridan's Yellowstone universe, following the original series (2018-2024), '1883' (2021), and '1923' (2022). Earlier this year, 'Marshals', a spin-off focusing on Kayce Dutton, also premiered. Meanwhile, 'The Madison', originally intended as a direct Yellowstone spin-off, was reimagined as a standalone series.
The show currently holds an 88 percent critics score on Rotten Tomatoes. Reilly described it as 'a very different show' from Yellowstone, adding that she had 'said goodbye' to the original series. The series was created by Chad Feehman, who was reportedly let go after clashes on set; Sheridan has since handed creative control to the stars.
