"We're gonna reboot. I'm writing the script," Eastin stated, prompting immediate enthusiasm from the original trio.
"I'm in!" exclaimed Bomer, who will reprise his role as Neal Caffrey, with DeKay and Thiessen also raising their hands to confirm their participation. DeKay praised the new script, noting, "It's a fantastic script and it answers all the questions that one would have if you watch the show. And it would introduce the show to those who haven't seen it as well."
Honouring a Lost Friend
The reboot will also pay tribute to original cast member Willie Garson, who played the fan-favourite character Mozzie and passed away in 2021. Tim DeKay revealed that the new story honours Willie "in a profound way," a sentiment echoed by Tiffani Thiessen, who said the script handled it "with such sensitivity and such heart."
While specific plot details and a release date remain under wraps, the new version is expected to land on a streaming platform, with Hulu being a likely destination. The original series concluded in 2014 with an open-ended finale that left room for future stories, a narrative thread the reboot is now poised to pick up.
