Peaky Blinders Film 'The Immortal Man' Trailer Drops, Cillian Murphy Returns
Peaky Blinders Film Trailer Released for 2026

Fans of the iconic Birmingham gangster saga can finally celebrate. Netflix has released the first official trailer for the highly anticipated cinematic continuation, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, confirming its arrival in 2026.

Shelby's Return: A New Reckoning

The film will pick up the story four years after the dramatic conclusion of the BBC television series. Tommy Shelby, portrayed once again by the Oscar-winning Cillian Murphy, is drawn back from a self-imposed exile. The official synopsis sets a dark tone, stating he must face his "most destructive reckoning yet" with the future of both his family and the country hanging in the balance.

The newly unveiled trailer offers a tantalising glimpse, featuring the classic line, "It's Tommy Shelby," delivered as he answers a ringing telephone. He then describes himself as the "famous gypsy gangster" before adding cryptically, "I'm not that man anymore."

Star-Studded Cast: Familiar Faces and New Blood

In excellent news for devotees of the show, the feature-length film will blend beloved original characters with exciting new additions. Alongside Murphy, confirmed returning cast members include:

  • Sophie Rundle as Ada Shelby
  • Ned Dennehy
  • Packy Lee
  • Ian Peck

They will be joined by a formidable line-up of Hollywood talent, including Barry Keoghan (Saltburn), Tim Roth, and Stephen Graham. A major new addition is Rebecca Ferguson (Dune), who confessed joining the project was a "no brainer." She told Radio Times she had long wanted to work with Cillian Murphy and felt honoured to be trusted to enter the show's deeply established world.

Production Details and Release Schedule

Filming for The Immortal Man has already wrapped, with scenes shot in locations like Liverpool's St George's Hall, which was transformed into a wartime air raid shelter. Murphy reflected on filming his final scene in the Peak District, describing it as a "really emotional" experience, albeit one filmed in "the p*****g rain."

The release strategy is now set. Audiences will get their first chance to see the film in select cinemas from March 6, 2026, before it becomes available for the wider public to stream globally on Netflix from March 20, 2026.

This marks the next chapter in the saga first teased by creator Steven Knight in 2021, with a spin-off series also reported to be in development. For now, the focus is squarely on Tommy Shelby's return, promising a fitting and explosive finale to one of Britain's most beloved television stories.
