A brand-new crime drama set during America's Gilded Age is set to captivate audiences, arriving on streaming platforms this week. The series, titled The Artist, is a six-part murder mystery that originally aired on the American channel The Network in 2025. It will now be available on MGM+, which UK viewers can access as a channel on Prime Video.
A Stellar Cast Brings the Gilded Age to Life
The show boasts an all-star ensemble, including Mandy Patinkin, known for The Princess Bride and Homeland, as Norman Henry. Janet McTeer, from Ozark and KAOS, plays Marian Henry. Danny Huston, of American Horror Story fame, portrays Edgar Dégas, while iconic singer and actress Patti LuPone takes on the role of Rosie Morsch. Hank Azaria, best known for The Simpsons, appears as Thomas Edison, and Zachary Quinto, from Star Trek, plays Delphin Delmas.

Plot and Reception
The plot synopsis reads: "In the twilight of the Gilded Age an eccentric, failing tycoon, and his brilliant wife host an ensemble of the era's biggest celebrities including Thomas Edison, Edgar Degas, and Evelyn Nesbit. The gathering turns deadly."
