Actress Lacey Turner, best known for playing Stacey Slater in BBC One's EastEnders, has delighted fans by reuniting with her on-screen brother, actor Rob Kazinsky.
A Walford Reunion Off-Screen
The heartwarming reunion comes as Lacey, 37, continues her extended break from the long-running soap. She was last seen on screen in October 2023. Rob Kazinsky, who portrayed the volatile Sean Slater – Stacey's brother – shared a picture of the pair on social media, captioning it: 'Love from Brazil (seriously who’s idea was that?) Like time never passes with the best of the best.'
Sean Slater first stormed into Albert Square in 2006 and made a brief return to Walford in 2022. Lacey Turner has played the iconic role of Stacey on-and-off since her debut in 2004.
Family First for the Soap Star
The actress decided to step away from EastEnders to dedicate more time to her young family. She is a mother to three children: six-year-old daughter Dusty Violet, four-year-old son Trilby Fox, and her youngest, Gipsy Olive, who was born in January 2023.
In previous interviews, Lacey has spoken warmly about parenthood, stating: 'I'm very lucky to have three lovely children and a great family.' She praised her husband Matt as part of 'a great team' and described the parenting journey as a constant, rewarding adaptation.
Fan Hopes and Shared Struggles
The reunion photo sparked an immediate and passionate response from EastEnders viewers, with many pleading for Sean Slater's permanent return to the show. Comments flooded in, with fans calling them 'my two absolute favourite Slaters' and expressing hope for a future on-screen comeback.
Last year, Lacey also opened up about the universal pressures facing parents, including the rising cost of living. She emphasised that 'it doesn't matter what industry you're in, we're all the same', relating to the shock of increasing supermarket bills and the judgement parents often face. According to reports, Lacey earns between £150,000 and £190,000 for her work on the soap, placing her in a similar pay bracket to co-star Gillian Taylforth (Kathy Beale).
While fans eagerly await Stacey Slater's return to Albert Square, this off-screen reunion has provided a welcome glimpse of the beloved actress and stoked nostalgia for one of Walford's most memorable sibling partnerships.
