The mystery surrounding Jen Affleck's involvement in The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County appears to have now been solved. Affleck seemed to confirm she will be starring in the upcoming spin-off of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, the show which launched her to reality TV stardom, alongside her new castmates.
The TikToker, 25, had recently moved from Salt Lake City, Utah — the area where the original was filmed — to Southern California with her family, sparking speculation she may be joining the show. She finally addressed the rumors with a video of the new Orange County show with the telling caption: 'Coming to @hulu 2026!! @secretlivesonhulu.'
The video showed the women, along with Affleck, introducing themselves to the camera in a clip set to the Full House theme song. In a nod to the rumors swirling around her involvement in the series, she wrote in her Instagram Stories: 'The secret is out.'
Jen Affleck confirmed she is joining the cast of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County on Sunday. Over the weekend, she updated her Instagram with a video alongside the stars of the spin-off series. The new California-based cast includes McCall Dapron, the sister of Mayci Neeley from the original series.
Hulu confirmed eight women would be joining the show and named Dapron, Aspyn Ovard, Avery Woods, Salomé Andrea, Chandler Higginson, Ashleigh Pease, Madison Fisher (née Bontempo) and Bobbi Althoff.
Affleck sparked speculation she would be joining the spin-off following her recent move to Southern California, but her actual involvement was unknown until now. The question over whether or not she would actually be on the show lingered after she failed to appear at an event announcing the cast. Dapron, 36, noted that Affleck's name was not on the cast list and said she was 'curious' about why not. 'I was surprised when we went to glam before this that she wasn't with us,' she told Entertainment Tonight at Hulu's Get Real event on Wednesday. 'I heard she was sick, but I have no clue.' Ovard, 30, also said she noticed Affleck's absence and suggested there would be an announcement coming soon. 'I haven't seen [Jen] yet,' she said. 'I think I will see her soon.'
On her Instagram Story, she wrote that the 'secret is out,' confirming her addition to the cast after fans speculated she would be moving from the original series to anchor the spin-off. At the end of the clip, seven of the women posed together for a group hug. Althoff was not seen in the group photo as she was presumably filming her now-costars.
She previously starred on the original series and revealed on TikTok earlier this month that she moved to Southern California. In her TikTok post from early April, she told her fans that she and her husband Zac Affleck relocated their family to California ahead of a 'new chapter.' Earlier this month, Affleck revealed she moved to Southern California and was preparing to embark on a new chapter in her life. She shared a TikTok video about how she moved for 'the fifth time in a year' and told her fans that she and her husband Zac Affleck relocated their family to California.
The original series, which premiered in 2024 and has released four seasons since, starred Utah-based, #MomTok influencers. Taylor Frankie Paul, Jessi Draper, Jen Affleck, Whitney Leavitt, Mayci Neeley, Mikayla Matthews, Layla Taylor and Miranda McWhorter made their reality TV debuts on the show. The spin-off announcement follows on the heels of a domestic violence scandal involving original series star Taylor Frankie Paul as well as reports that the production quickly picked up their cameras to document the aftermath.
