I'm A Celeb Fans Fume Over 'Huge Downgrade' in New Opening Titles
I'm A Celeb fans outraged by new opening titles

Devoted viewers of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! have expressed widespread outrage after ITV unveiled a dramatically altered opening sequence for the show's 2025 series, marking the first change in 17 years.

Jungle Uproar as Familiar Titles Vanish

The beloved reality show returned to British screens on Sunday, 16 November at 9 pm with a substantial one-hour and thirty-five-minute premiere. While the familiar faces of hosts Ant and Dec were a welcome sight, the revamped introductory titles sparked immediate controversy across social media platforms.

Fans took to X, formerly Twitter, to voice their strong disapproval. One viewer sharply commented, "News just in - #ImACeleb just lost a million viewers because the new titles stressed everyone out and they had to switch it off." Another was more blunt, simply stating, "The new titles are s***e."

Viewers Demand a Return to Tradition

The criticism was unified in its sentiment, with many long-time followers of the programme feeling that a cherished tradition had been unnecessarily tampered with. "The new intro credits are a big downgrade! Don't fix it if it ain't broke?" questioned one fan.

Another passionate viewer demanded, "THEY'VE CHANGED THE IM A CELEB OPENING TITLES?? WHERE ARE THE LETTERS WHY ARE THEY IN STARS CHANGE IT BACK". A more creatively phrased complaint chimed in, "The new opening titles and logo just aren't I'm a Celeb-ing the way the old OG titles and logo I'm a Celeb-ed".

Bigger Series Promises Amidst Backlash

This visual overhaul comes as Executive Producer Olly Nash promised a more expansive series for 2025. He recently stated, "It's much bigger than we've ever done before. And we're filming more (challenges) than we've ever filmed before." He also hinted at a new format, adding, "There'll be more elements lasting over more shows than has happened before too... Not all celebrities will be here in camp at the end of Sunday's show."

The new series features a diverse lineup of celebrities, including Ruby Wax, Martin Kemp, Kelly Brook, Aitch, Alex Scott MBE, Angry Ginge, Shona McGarty, Eddie Kadi, Lisa Riley, and Jack Osbourne. The premiere concluded with social media influencer Angry Ginge and comedian Ruby Wax being voted by the public to undertake the first dreaded Bushtucker Trial.

Despite the title sequence controversy, many fans were still thrilled to have the show back. One person expressed their joy, writing, "I forgot how much I love I'm a celeb x", while another praised the cast, suggesting, "This I'm a celeb cast seem very good, could be a great season". For continued coverage, the spin-off show I'm A Celebrity... Unpacked airs on ITV2 directly after the main programme.
