Fired Apprentice Candidate Blasts Co-Stars for 'Coasting' Through Competition

The latest candidate to be fired from The Apprentice has launched a scathing attack on her co-stars, accusing them of 'coasting' through the competition after Lord Sugar sent her packing in the most recent episode. Vanessa Tetteh-Squire, who served as project manager for the losing team, expressed her frustration at being eliminated, claiming her teammates intentionally avoided taking on leadership roles to stay under the radar.

Floral Task Ends in Boardroom Blame Game

In an episode that revisited a classic task from two decades ago, the candidates were challenged to turn petals into profit by selling flowers to the public and creating an ambitious floral installation for a corporate client. Vanessa volunteered as project manager when no one else stepped up, a decision she now regrets as it led to her downfall. Despite team members pointing fingers at sub-team leader Lawrence Rosenberg for poor briefing, Lord Sugar ultimately held Vanessa responsible for the profit loss, bringing her back into the boardroom with Lawrence and Pascha Myhill.

Vanessa hit out at the outcome, stating: 'I was gutted, absolutely gutted. I don't believe it was my time to go. I feel like my fate was decided when I put myself up because nobody else wanted the job. In Apprentice history, the project manager always gets the blame if things go wrong.' She added that she could have coasted like others but chose to take a risk, which wasn't viewed positively by Lord Sugar.

Contestant Reflects on Highlights and Social Media Fame

Opening up about her experience, Vanessa cited a memorable moment where fans noticed her 'model' walk during a task earlier this month, dubbing it a 'strut' that has gone down in history. On Instagram, she joked about the attention, saying, 'I strutted my way to the highest sales on the task. So a win is a win.' She described it as a ridiculous but joyful part of her journey on the show.

Levi Hague Reveals Illness Behind Boardroom Absence

In related news, controversial candidate Levi Hague has disclosed that he was sick outside Lord Sugar's boardroom during filming, leading to his isolation from co-stars. The 33-year-old explained on TikTok that food poisoning from a late-night meal caused severe diarrhoea and vomiting, forcing him to miss part of an episode. He praised the show's team for their care during his illness, which lasted several days and required antibiotics.

Levi recounted, 'I spewed up getting out the car and in the chill-out room, so they isolated me straight away. I lost more weight than an Ozempic user and had to stop counting after 21 toilet trips in a day.' His absence was noted by Lord Sugar in the episode, who informed the other candidates of Levi's sickness.

The Apprentice continues to air on BBC One and iPlayer, with fans eagerly watching the remaining candidates navigate Lord Sugar's challenges.
