Coleen Nolan Opens Up on Vulnerability and New Tour Amid Loose Women Changes
Coleen Nolan on vulnerability, new tour and Loose Women shift

Coleen Nolan is embracing a period of significant change, candidly addressing feelings of vulnerability as she prepares for a major new venture away from the familiar studio of Loose Women. The TV stalwart is channelling her energy into a fresh UK tour, promising an intimate and honest look at her remarkable life.

A New Chapter: From TV Studio to Tour Stage

This shift comes as ITV scales back its daytime schedule in a major cost-cutting exercise, prompting Nolan to seek new opportunities beyond television. Her solution is a second UK tour, following the success of her 2024 show Naked. The new production, titled This Is Me, is set to kick off next month.

The one-woman show will guide audiences through Nolan's entire life story. It begins with her childhood in Blackpool and traces her early success, which started before her ninth birthday with an appearance on The Cliff Richard Show as part of the original six-member Nolan Sisters.

Embracing Honesty: The Highs and Lows

However, Coleen promises the show will not shy away from life's tougher moments. She plans to touch on her divorces from Shane Ritchie and Ray Fensome, as well as her shock diagnosis with basal-cell carcinoma. Speaking to Woman’s Weekly, she addressed the personal risk of such openness.

"People have asked me whether my honesty and openness has ever left me feeling vulnerable," she revealed. "I can only answer that I can sleep better knowing I've been honest." She emphasised that authenticity is essential, stating: "It's very difficult to keep up a persona that isn't truly authentic. The This is Me show is about embracing life, telling the truth, having a laugh and celebrating who we are — wrinkles, wobbly bits and all."

Navigating Personal and Professional Goodbyes

The past year has been particularly challenging for Nolan. It began with the sad death from cancer of her beloved sister, Linda. Reflecting last month, Coleen said Christmas 2025 would be "extremely hard" without her, noting Linda "was the life and soul of family occasions".

Professionally, she is also adjusting to massive changes on Loose Women, the ITV panel show she has been a part of since 2000. Following ITV's announcement, she expressed sadness at leaving the iconic Television Centre studios and saying goodbye to crew members she's worked with for over two decades.

"I feel like they've shared my life with me," she said. "I've told them things behind the scenes that I would confide in with really good friends - and that's what they are." The show will move to new studios in central London with a different format next year.

On her tour, Nolan aims to take audiences on an emotional journey from happy times to sad times and back again. The show will feature a few songs and a special guest appearance from her 36-year-old son, Shane Jr.
