The highly anticipated reboot of Celebrity Apprentice is assembling a glittering roster of television personalities, with reports indicating that an X Factor champion, a prominent member of the dance troupe Diversity, and a seasoned broadcaster are the latest celebrities confirmed for the series.
Star-Studded Line-Up Revealed
According to exclusive reports from The Sun, the new iteration of the show will feature singer Alexandra Burke, who rose to fame after winning The X Factor in 2008, Diversity member and former I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star Jordan Banjo, and Sky News journalist Kay Burley. The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for all three stars to obtain official comment on their participation.
First Contestant Announced
This news follows Friday's announcement that Emmerdale actor Danny Miller will be the first officially confirmed contestant. Miller, 35, is best known for his long-running role as Aaron Dingle on the ITV soap opera but gained wider national recognition after winning the 2021 pandemic edition of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!.
An insider close to the production told The Sun: 'Danny stands a good chance of doing well because he won the 2021 series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! Whenever he gets the chance to show off his endearing personality, he wins over viewers - particularly as it's a surprising departure from his slightly grouchy character in Emmerdale.'
Series Revival and Schedule
The Celebrity Apprentice first aired in 2007, with subsequent Sport Relief and Comic Relief specials broadcast in 2008, 2009, and 2019. The show is scheduled to return with a Christmas special in 2025, with the full series of the latest Celebrity Apprentice expected to premiere later this year. The complete line-up of celebrity contestants is due to be unveiled imminently.
Fresh from The Apprentice Finale
This casting news arrives hot on the heels of Thursday's dramatic finale of the main Apprentice series, where influencer and beauty brand owner Karishma Vijay was crowned the winner. The 28-year-old triumphed over 22-year-old Pascha Myhill, the youngest candidate in the process, to secure Lord Sugar's £250,000 investment for her beauty brand, Kishkin Skin.
Karishma, now the 21st winner in the show's history, expressed profound gratitude for the opportunity, stating the experience had turned her life around after 'hitting rock bottom'. She revealed the investment would help her get onto the property ladder after months of sleeping on a mattress at her parents' home in Croydon.
More significantly, she framed her victory as a milestone for representation: 'The winner of the Apprentice is the daughter of an immigrant and that is a huge statement and a light of hope to people who feel things will never change. There are girls that don't look like me that do well and girls that look like me that have to really fight tooth and nail for a single opportunity.'
She added: 'I have been locked out of that list for such a long time because of what I look like. I am not conventionally the beauty standard, the Eurocentric beauty standard that people go for. I am the girl next door, and people actually buy what the girl next door talks about.'
Looking Ahead
With a mix of entertainment stars, a beloved soap actor, and a celebrated journalist, the Celebrity Apprentice reboot promises a compelling blend of business challenges and celebrity dynamics. Fans can expect the full roster announcement soon, as production gears up for the series' return to screens. The original Apprentice series remains available for streaming on BBC iPlayer.
