Bradley Walsh hilariously teases his son Barney in a first look at the new series of Breaking Dad. The 65-year-old presenter and his 28-year-old son are back on the road, heading down under for an epic Australian adventure in the seventh series of their hit ITV show.
Father-Son Duo Returns for Australian Adventure
In the new six-part series, Bradley and Barney will explore the vast wilderness and coastal thrills of Australia. As ever, Bradley won't be getting the rest and relaxation he dreams of, as Barney has planned a packed itinerary full of adrenaline-rushing challenges designed to push his dad to the limit across the Australian outback and beyond.
First Look at Manly Beach
In a first look clip, the pair are seen at Manly Beach, a popular surfing spot in Sydney's northern beaches known for its golden sand. Barney tells his dad: "This is where the very first surfing competition was held here in Manly Beach." Bradley is left stunned and replies: "Oh, what, not in Hawaii?" Barney confirms: "No, here in Manly Beach, Australia, 1964."
As they take an idyllic stroll along the beach, Bradley remarks: "I can't believe, seriously, the amount of people that are on the beach so early in the morning. It's an absolute joke. And why aren't they at work? What do they do for a living?" Barney teases: "You find everything to moan about!" but Bradley disagrees.
Barney then adds: "Interesting thing about this place, right, Manly Beach, people come here to moan." A sceptical Bradley replies: "Is that true or are you winding me up?" Barney continues: "They get up in the morning, they come here, they moan about trivial things, and then they run in the sea to get rid of all the stress and anger before they start their day."
Bradley responds: "I moan and I go and get rid of the moan? This is like cleansing, is it?" As he approaches the sea, Barney encourages: "This is a cleansing experience. Have fun. Right, get your moans out. You want to shout about it?"
Bradley heads back ashore without getting his moans out, and Barney asks: "What are you doing? You have to shout about it." Bradley hilariously replies: "Give me a chance. I'm trying to come all the way back to see what you just said."
Barney gives further instructions: "You have to go in there, you have to shout, you have to moan, you have to go: 'I'm fed up of not being able to hear anything because I'm old and 65 and my hearing's bad.'" Bradley jokes: "No need to shout now is there, right, so what have you got to moan about?"
Teasing his famous dad, Barney shouts: "My dad moans at everything!" Bradley responds: "Well, I'll tell you what, when you're a dad, you'll moan because you'll have kids, and your kids will drive you mad."
