Beyond Paradise season four is drawing to a close, but not before stars from Mobland, Coronation Street, and The Archers join the cast. Only two episodes of the fourth series remain before it is time to bid farewell to the show once more.
Episode 5 Plot
In this instalment, DI Humphrey Goodman (played by Kris Marshall) is drawn to an off-grid community living sustainably whose home faces threat from property developers.
Lee Outram – James Clay
As residents of the environmental community grow anxious about their future, a formidable Lee Outram is seen on location, suggesting he may be the one attempting to dismantle their home. Actor James Clay recently portrayed DC Brandon in Paramount Plus' Mobland, and has also appeared as hiker Ethan Hanson in Wednesday series one and Ken Dwyer in ITV's The Long Shadow.
Woody – Nathan Dean Williams
Amongst the off-grid residents is Woody, who appears to be assisting police with their investigation. He is portrayed by actor Nathan Dean Williams, who has featured in minor roles across Coronation Street, Sick Note, Shadow and Bone, Alma's Not Normal, and FBI International.
Alex – Avita Jay
Actress Avita Jay will likely be most recognised for her role as Sabeen Habeeb, Imran Habeeb's former wife in Coronation Street in 2018. Her other smaller roles include appearances in Silent Witness, Emmerdale, Casualty, and Doctors. Jay plays another resident of the off-grid community who seems to share a connection with Woody, though whether it is platonic or romantic remains unclear.
Janice – Yasmin Wilde
Actress Yasmin Wilde has appeared in programmes including Jonathan Creek, After Life, The Undeclared War, and Doc Martin, among others. Since 2023, Wilde has portrayed Azra Malik in the beloved BBC Radio 4 soap The Archers. In Beyond Paradise, she takes on the role of Janice, an elder member of a woodland community who appears suspicious of unfolding events.
Mavis – Elaine Claxton
Mavis and her dog Honey guide Humphrey and his team towards the "Green Man", an enigmatic figure daubed in green paint and wrapped in ivy deep within the woods. Actress Elaine Claxton previously played Mrs Roban in Black Mirror's Hotel Reverie, Martha Harris in Emmerdale, and Maggie Thomas in Wire in the Blood.
Agnieszka – Hazel Caulfield
In episode five, Kelby Hartford (Dylan Llewellyn) finds himself nervously awaiting the arrival of potential romantic interest Agnieszka from Poland. Yet the longer he waits, the more his doubts grow that their connection may have been nothing more than a scam. Actress Hazel Caulfield is something of a fresh face, having only cropped up in a handful of short films alongside a starring role in the independent production Miss or Misses.
