The hit Australian drama Bay Of Fires is set to make a triumphant return to ITVX for its highly anticipated second series, introducing a host of new faces alongside the beloved returning cast.
Returning Favourites and New Arrivals
Marta Dusseldorp will reprise her lead role as Stella Heikkinen, the tenacious leader of the Mystery Bay community. She is joined by returning stars Toby Leonard Moore as Jerimiah, Nicholas Bell, and Bob Franklin.
The new season welcomes three significant additions to its ensemble. Benedict Hardie (Total Control, NCIS: Sydney) joins as Neil Roebuck, Alex Dimitriades (The Tourist, Strife) portrays Allesandro, and Darren Gilshenan (Colin from Accounts, No Activity) appears as Joel.
Chaos Reigns in Mystery Bay
The storyline for the new series picks up with Stella's leadership bringing a chaotic form of prosperity to Mystery Bay. However, her fragile peace is shattered when she and her children find themselves caught in a perfect storm of threats.
An official synopsis reveals they are "sandwiched between an unhinged apiarist drug lord, a maniacal millenarian doomsday cult, the resurrection of her nemesis, Russia, and a growing civil war in the town." As the chaos escalates, Stella begins to suspect she may be the source of the nightmare, leading her to consider a drastic solution.
