Tommy Fury Declines to Discuss Baby Birth Timing Ahead of Boxing Match
Tommy Fury has swiftly shut down inquiries regarding the birth of his second child with partner Molly-Mae Hague, describing it as a "family matter" during a recent television interview. The former Love Island star, aged 26, is expecting the new addition to their family in the coming months, with the couple already parents to three-year-old daughter Bambi.
Boxing Match Scheduled for Day After Due Date
The boxer is set to compete against Eddie Hall in a match scheduled for June 13th, just one day after Molly-Mae's due date of June 12th. During an appearance on ITV's Good Morning Britain, host Charlotte Hawkins probed about the timing, asking how Molly-Mae felt about the clash. Tommy responded by thanking "the Lord and our saviour Jesus Christ" for the blessing of another child and emphasized that the family is handling the situation "fantastically."
Past Challenges and Family Support
The couple has faced previous relationship turbulence, including a temporary split after the birth of their first child. Molly-Mae has been open about the difficulties of early motherhood, relying on her sister Zoe and mother Debbie for support, though she later expressed holding "a lot of trauma from that time of my life." Tommy also faced scrutiny for traveling to Saudi Arabia for a four-week training camp shortly after Bambi's birth.
Pregnancy Announcement and Name Plans
Molly-Mae and Tommy announced their second pregnancy in February with a candid video from their family home, captioning it "Soon to be four." She has since shared updates in her YouTube vlogs, revealing that they have settled on a unique name for the newborn. Molly-Mae stated, "I think we're pretty much set on a name now, which is crazy. Also just can't wait for everyone to hate it." She added that the name is highly original, not appearing on typical baby name lists, and expects mixed reactions from followers.
Focus on Family and Future
Despite the public interest, Tommy remains focused on both his boxing career and family life. The couple, who met on Love Island, have rekindled their romance and are preparing for their growing family. With the boxing match looming, Tommy's brief comments highlight a desire to keep personal matters private while navigating the demands of professional sports and parenthood.
