Industry Stars Marisa Abela and Myha'la Celebrate Fifth and Final Season Renewal

Marisa Abela and her co-star Myha'la have delighted fans by sharing a behind-the-scenes glimpse as they celebrate the renewal of the hit HBO/BBC drama Industry for a fifth season, which will also be its final outing. The actresses, who have become close friends since filming the show's first four series, posted playful photos on social media to mark the exciting news.

Behind-the-Scenes Fun and Friendship

The selection of snaps primarily featured Marisa, 29, and Myha'la, showcasing their strong bond. In one set of images, the two actresses, who served as each other's bridesmaids at their weddings, were dressed in elegant robes in fun bathroom shots. They also posed in the back of a car in sultry and playful behind-the-scenes photos, larking about together and even impersonating walruses with wooden chopsticks in their mouths.

Marisa captioned her post with enthusiasm, writing: 'Industry hive... Industry five!!! The final season. Let's f*in go', accompanied by crying face emojis. Her post came shortly after HBO officially announced the renewal online, which was accompanied by a wedding photo of Marisa's character Yasmin and Kit Harington's character Henry, featuring five lines of white powder and a rolled-up twenty-pound note, with the caption: 'All lined up. INDUSTRY is officially returning for its fifth and final series.' Marisa commented on the announcement, noting: 'This announcement photo is CRAZY.'

Creators Reflect on the Show's Journey

The show's creators, Mickey Down and Konrad Kay, also shared their thoughts on the series renewal. They expressed gratitude, stating: 'We're privileged to have joined the small, esteemed club of dramas that have run for five seasons on HBO.' They highlighted that this marks a decade since they first conceived the world of Industry, crediting partners at HBO and the BBC for their support.

Down and Kay emphasized their decision to end the show on a high, saying: 'For sometime now we have been thinking about how best to end the show on an unparalleled high. Unlike some of our characters, we know when to leave a party.' They thanked the fan base, crews, and cast, including Marisa's on-screen husband Kit Harington, Ken Leung, Sagar Radia, and Myha'la, for their contributions.

Fan Reactions and Future Prospects

Fans celebrated the news in the comments section of Marisa's post, with messages such as: 'I wasn't ready to say goodbye. The world is healing'; 'We are soooo up'; 'MY GIRLS'; 'I'm so happy! My favourite insider traders'; 'WE WONNNN!'; 'Bring back Robert!'; 'Glad we get one more season!!!'; and 'It can't be over!' The creators assured that they look forward to continuing their collaboration with HBO in the future, noting that seeing the HBO indent in front of their work remains a thrill.

This renewal announcement comes as Marisa, who is also known for her role in Made In Chelsea, recently became a first-time mother last month with her husband Jamie Laing, 37, adding to the personal milestones celebrated alongside her professional achievements.
