Hollywood stars Zendaya and Tom Holland were seen enjoying a low-key stroll with their dog in one of London's iconic Royal Parks this week, as they prepare for festive celebrations with his family.
A Pre-Christmas Walk in the Park
The engaged couple, both 29, were photographed in Richmond Park looking relaxed and casual. Zendaya opted for a classic trench coat, scarf, and jeans, while Holland kept warm in a beanie hat and a padded black coat. They were joined by two members of the Protection Dog security team and their beloved pet, a black miniature schnauzer named Noon.
This year, the pair are set to spend the Christmas holiday with Tom's family. This includes his father, comedian Dominic Holland, and his mother, photographer Nicola Holland, alongside his brothers. This marks a change from last year, when the couple celebrated their engagement period with Zendaya's family in the United States.
On-Screen Reunion in Nolan's Epic Project
Fans of the duo have much to look forward to, as they are confirmed to share the screen for a fourth time. After playing love interests in the trilogy of Spider-Man films, they will both appear in director Christopher Nolan's next highly-anticipated project.
The film is an adaptation of Homer's 'The Odyssey', an epic poem dating back to the 8th Century BC. Tom Holland is set to play Telemachus, the son of the legendary Greek king Odysseus, who will be portrayed by Matt Damon.
Zendaya's specific role remains officially undisclosed, though she was spotted filming in a Grecian-style gown on the Italian island of Favignana in March. Industry rumours suggest she could be playing a pivotal character such as:
- The goddess Athena, divine counsellor to Odysseus.
- Calypso, the nymph who held Odysseus captive.
- Nausicaä, the princess who aids the shipwrecked hero.
A Mammoth Production for the Big Screen
The scale of the project is monumental. Filming began in February across multiple international locations including Greece, Morocco, Italy, Iceland, and Los Angeles, with production currently based in Scotland. With a reported budget of $250 million, it is poised to be the most expensive film of Nolan's acclaimed career.
Technologically, it will also make history as the first film ever shot entirely using new IMAX film cameras. The cast is a veritable who's who of Hollywood, featuring stars like Anne Hathaway as Penelope, Charlize Theron as Circe, alongside Lupita Nyong'o, Robert Pattinson, and many others.
Zendaya and Tom Holland, who met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017, have famously kept their relationship private. This rare public appearance offers a glimpse into their life together as they balance family time with their colossal upcoming film commitments.
