Vicky Pattison reveals miscarriage trauma and NHS plea

Reality television star Vicky Pattison has bravely shared the devastating details of her recent miscarriage, revealing the traumatic hospital experience that followed her pregnancy loss in a powerful new interview.

The former I'm A Celebrity winner and Strictly Come Dancing contestant described discovering she was pregnant as "the best news ever," only to face heartbreak weeks later when she began experiencing concerning symptoms.

The Moment Everything Changed

"I started bleeding and I just knew," Pattison emotionally recalled. "I just knew that it was over, and it was just absolutely devastating."

The 36-year-old television personality detailed the distressing scene at the hospital, where she was left waiting for hours in a public area while experiencing the physical and emotional trauma of miscarriage.

A Call for Better Care

Pattison is now using her platform to advocate for improved NHS facilities and support for women experiencing pregnancy loss. She emphasised the need for private, dedicated spaces where women can process their grief with dignity.

"There needs to be a separate ward or a separate unit for women who are going through this," she stated passionately. "It's a trauma and it needs to be treated as such."

Finding Strength in Vulnerability

Despite the pain, Pattison expressed hope that sharing her story will help break the stigma surrounding miscarriage and create meaningful change in how pregnancy loss is addressed within healthcare systems.

"I just want to help other women," she explained. "If me talking about my experience means that one woman doesn't have to sit in a public waiting room while she's losing her baby, then it's worth it."

The media personality also acknowledged the importance of her fiancé Ercan Ramadan's support throughout the ordeal, describing him as "incredible" during their shared grief.
