Singer Vanessa White, best known as a member of the chart-topping girl group The Saturdays, has announced she is now a married woman. The 36-year-old took to Instagram on Monday to share the joyful news that she had tied the knot with her fiancé, DJ and model Emmanuel Lawal.
A Stylish Hackney Ceremony
The couple exchanged vows at Hackney Town Hall in a chic civil ceremony. Vanessa, who is currently expecting the pair's first child, looked radiant in a stunning silk bridal gown from Self Portrait. The long-sleeved dress featured delicate lace intersections and elegantly showcased her pregnancy bump.
The marriage comes just a month after Vanessa publicly announced both her engagement and her pregnancy in a single social media post. She marked the wedding announcement with a sweet caption that read, "there’s a V and E in love", a clever nod to her and Emmanuel's initials.
A Four-Year Romance with a Break
Vanessa White and Emmanuel Lawal have been in a relationship for around four years, though they experienced a brief separation in 2023. Rumours of their romance first began in August 2020 when they were spotted together in Marbella, Spain. They made their relationship official on Instagram in December of that year.
An insider previously commented on their bond, saying, 'Vanessa and Emmanuel struck up a relationship during lockdown and quickly got close.' Before dating Emmanuel, Vanessa was in a long-term relationship with Gary Salter. That partnership began when she was 21 and ended in April 2017.
Reflecting on Love and Life Changes
Just six months after her split from Salter, Vanessa appeared on ITV's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, which she later described as having the "time of her life". During her time on the reality show, she opened up about the end of her previous relationship, revealing the difficulty of such significant decisions.
"I don't know if it was ever right, the problem is that I'm an indecisive person," she confessed. "I can't even make my mind up about what I am going to have for dinner let alone big decisions like do I want to be with someone forever?"
Vanessa White rose to fame in 2008 as part of The Saturdays, alongside Mollie King, Frankie Bridge, Una Healy, and Rochelle Humes. The group enjoyed considerable success before going on an indefinite hiatus in 2014. Now, Vanessa embarks on this exciting new chapter of marriage and motherhood.
