The family of acclaimed actor Tommy Lee Jones is mourning the tragic loss of his daughter, Victoria Jones, who was found dead in a San Francisco hotel on New Year's Day.
A Tragic Discovery on New Year's Day
Victoria Jones, aged 34, was discovered unresponsive at the Fairmont San Francisco hotel in the early hours of 1 January 2024. Police officers were called to the scene at around 3am to respond to a reported medical emergency. Despite their efforts, she was pronounced dead at the location.

Audio from emergency dispatch, obtained by media outlet TMZ, indicated the call was logged as a "code 3 for the overdose, color change," suggesting a possible drug-related incident.
Victoria Jones's recent years were marked by legal and personal struggles. Court records reveal a series of misdemeanour arrests in 2023 in Napa and Santa Cruz counties. The charges included:
- Obstructing a peace officer and being under the influence of a controlled substance in April.
- Resisting an officer and public intoxication in May.
- Misdemeanour domestic battery in June.
In a significant intervention last year, her father, Tommy Lee Jones, successfully petitioned a Marin County court to place Victoria under a temporary conservatorship. His petition argued she was engaging in "life-threatening conduct" and urgently needed drug rehabilitation services not available in a hospital setting.
A Life in the Public Eye
Victoria was the daughter of the Academy Award-winning actor and his second wife, Kimberlea Cloughley. The couple, who also have a 43-year-old son named Austin, divorced in 1996.
She had occasional forays into the film industry, appearing alongside her father in Men in Black II as a child. She also had a role in her father's directed film, The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, and made an appearance on the television series One Tree Hill.
