Tolami Benson Shares Video of England Fans' World Cup Spirit Ahead of Match
Tolami Benson Shows England Fans' World Cup Spirit

Bukayo Saka's fiancée Tolami Benson has shared a glimpse into how fans in the US are getting into the World Cup spirit before England's first game kicks off tonight. Her fiancé, Bukayo Saka, is among the players jetting out for the 2026 tournament, and will be hoping to make his mark for his country when they play Croatia in Dallas at 9pm.

Ahead of the match, the senior planning executive - who recently launched a collaboration with River Island - posted a video as she hit the streets, finding herself down the road from lively football fans. In the video, a pub packed full of England fans could be heard loudly belting out Sweet Caroline at the top of their voices, sending their drinks flying.

She will be cheering her fiancé on in style. Amanda Holden was among the famous faces cheering the team on from home and posed in a full kit earlier today, before leading a chant of “It’s Coming Home” on the Heart Breakfast Show.

Former England legend John Barnes went one better as he posed on top of a pod on the London Eye, before blessing the Capital with a performance of his 1990 hit, World In Motion, with the London A Cappella Collective.

Stateside, PR graduate Tolami has been joined by a string of familiar WAGs for the tournament, which kicked off in Mexico on June 11. Lauren Fryer, long-term partner of Bukayo’s Arsenal teammate Declan Rice, is thought to have made the journey, alongside Harry Kane’s wife, Katie Goodland, and Ollie Watkins’ wife, Ellie.

Despite being a regular in the stands throughout her romance with the England star, Tolami was credited with “reviving Wag fever” at the Euros in 2024. However, in a chat with Vogue, she admitted that she was baffled by the new-found attention. She said: “I was just a bit like, ‘Why does everyone care so much?’”

Shedding light on how her game-day style has transformed over the years, she added: “When I came into the football world, I used to just wear the football tops with jeans or shorts, but they never fit me right, so I stopped trying to fit in and started wearing things that worked for me – having to dress for the office and come to football after taught me that.

“At the game, I want to be with the crowd – I want to jump and be free. It’s about high-low: for example, I’ll pair my Louis Vuitton trainers with an Arsenal jersey and Zara shorts. ‘Sports chic’ is what I like to call it.”

"People think it’s a lot more elaborate than it is," she insisted in a previous chat with the outlet. “I don’t have a stylist. Just a very honest girls’ group chat.”
