Spencer Matthews' Tribute to Vogue Williams for I'm A Celeb

Spencer Matthews has publicly shared a moving tribute to his wife, Vogue Williams, following the official confirmation that she will be a contestant on this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

A Jungle Reveal and a Loving Tribute

The exciting news was broken at the conclusion of Wednesday's action-packed episode of the ITV show, where hosts Ant and Dec announced that Vogue and Tom Read Wilson were the final two campmates heading into the jungle. Reacting to the announcement, Spencer took to his Instagram account to express his immense pride and admiration for his wife.

In a heartfelt post, the former Made In Chelsea star described Vogue as 'fearless' and 'gorgeous', lavishing praise on her character. He wrote that he was 'delighted' the secret was finally out, adding, 'Soon, the world gets to see what I’ve known for nearly 9 years - my wife is absolutely extraordinary.'

He elaborated further, stating that her on-screen persona is a true reflection of her real-life self. 'Vogue isn’t just fearless and gorgeous on TV – she’s like that in life. What you see is what you get,' he penned. Spencer highlighted her unique combination of 'warmth, humour, grit and heart', noting her incredible ability to uplift everyone around her.

Conflicting Schedules Keep Couple Apart

Despite his overwhelming support, Spencer will not be travelling to Australia to witness Vogue's jungle journey firsthand. This is because the 37-year-old is currently embarked on an incredibly gruelling personal mission. Spencer is attempting to complete seven full Ironman triathlons on seven continents in just 21 days, a feat he hopes will secure him a Guinness World Record.

This means the couple will be facing a significant period of time apart, with Spencer flying from Arizona to Cape Town for his third race as Vogue settles into camp life. A source close to the pair described the timing as 'unfortunate but unavoidable', explaining that both of their high-profile commitments had clashing schedules that could not be moved.

The source added, 'Of course, Spencer would want nothing more than to support Vogue in Australia... but both committed to their own projects, and unfortunately, the schedules overlap.' There is reportedly only a small chance Spencer could finish his challenge early and make the trip.

A Family Supporting from Afar

This professional separation also means the couple will be away from their three young children. Theodore, seven, Gigi, five, and Otto, three, will remain at home in London while their parents are on their respective adventures. The children are expected to support their mother by watching her on television whenever possible.

In his social media tribute, Spencer made sure to include their kids, writing, 'The kids and I are behind you every step of the way.' He expressed his pride in Vogue for stepping outside her comfort zone, confidently predicting, 'if anyone can light up that jungle, it’s her.'

He concluded his loving message by calling Vogue his 'best friend, a phenomenal wife and a perfect mother', wishing her good luck. Although Vogue has now entered the jungle and lost phone access, her own account managed to reply to Spencer's post with a series of red love hearts, offering a final digital kiss before her isolation began.
