Television presenter Ruth Langsford has announced the upcoming release of a deeply personal memoir, promising to reveal the experiences that shaped her, as she navigates her highly publicised divorce from former co-host Eamonn Holmes.
A New Chapter: The Memoir Announcement
The 65-year-old Loose Women star took to Instagram to share her excitement and nerves about publishing her first book, titled Ruth Langsford Feeling Fabulous. She confirmed the publication date is set for 26th February 2026, with signed copies available for pre-order.
In her social media post, Langsford wrote that the book will contain stories about her life, including 'the ups and the downs, the good and the not so good'. She emphasised that it will share the lessons learned from the events that made her the woman she is today.
Navigating Life After a 27-Year Relationship
The memoir's release comes in the wake of her separation from Eamonn Holmes, 66. The couple, who were together for 27 years and married for 14, ended their relationship in June 2024. Since the split, they have largely refrained from publicly discussing each other.
Holmes moved on quickly, beginning a relationship with relationship counsellor Katie Alexander, who is 22 years his junior. Sources close to Langsford indicated she had grown weary of caring for Holmes after a hip operation, and it later emerged he was in a relationship with Alexander, whom he had met years prior. There is no suggestion of infidelity during the marriage.
Ruth Langsford has remained single and has been open about seeking professional support. She told woman&home magazine that she began counselling after the separation and continues with it, describing the process as 'very powerful and very useful'. She said it provides her with tools to deal with the complex unravelling of a long-term relationship.
Looking to the Future and Resolving the Past
The former ITV This Morning anchors, who were axed from the show in 2021, have not yet finalised their divorce. Reports suggest they are currently in dispute over financial matters, including the potential sale of their marital home. Holmes has separately claimed he has been 'ruined' by an ongoing HMRC investigation into his employment status during his time on This Morning between 2011 and 2015.
Despite the challenges, Langsford strikes an optimistic note about the future. She shared that she now sees 'light in the future where I didn't before', and her famous refrain is one of resilience: 'I will survive.' She has also not ruled out finding love again.
With her memoir, Ruth Langsford Feeling Fabulous, the beloved presenter is poised to tell her own story on her own terms, marking a significant new beginning in both her personal and professional life.
