Comedian Ruby Wax left This Morning presenters Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley both shocked and amused during a live interview on Thursday, just hours after her eviction from I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
Jungle Exit and Blush-Inducing Confessions
The 72-year-old performer joined the ITV daytime show via video link, fresh from being voted out of the Australian jungle on Wednesday night. She found herself in the bottom two alongside Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley before hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly confirmed her departure.
While Ruby expressed her devastation at leaving her new "family," the conversation quickly turned to her memorable Bushtucker Trial. She participated in an early eating challenge with social media star AngryGinge, which involved consuming unusual animal parts.
"Very Wide Girth": The X-Rated Eating Trial Details
With characteristic bluntness, Ruby detailed the experience. "I ate a pig's scrotum, and the end of a bull's penis," she revealed. "That was my opening... and Ginge had to eat an anus."
She explained her strategy for getting through the trial, which sent the studio into fits of laughter. "I have a very wide girth so I can get anything down there," she stated, leaving co-hosts Ben, 50, and Cat, 49, struggling to contain their reactions.
A stunned Ben Shephard responded, "Doesn't matter what part of the anatomy! You can make sure that it all goes down?" to which Ruby confidently replied, "I can get it down there."
More Risqué Remarks About Camp Life
Ruby didn't stop there. She went on to make another series of cheeky comments about her relationship with fellow campmate, Celebs Go Dating star Tom Read Wilson, 39. He had assisted her in and out of the camp's water pool daily.
Joking about their dynamic, Ruby said, "Tom and I, he was my servant and he was there to satisfy the lady, which is me." She added, "Every day he would recite Shakespeare and take me to the liquid... He would enter me, in a loving way, never frisky, just loving."
As guest Ferne McCann hid her face behind a card in embarrassment, Ruby concluded, "We were a perfect match."
Devastation at Leaving Her "Jungle Family"
Beyond the humour, Ruby was heartfelt about her sudden exit from the reality series, following the departures of Vogue Williams and Eddie Kadi earlier in the week. "I'm totally devastated, I've been ripped from my family, ripped from the womb," she told the hosts.
She described the profound bond formed in camp: "I didn't think it was going to be so adorable, I didn't know I'd love those people more than most people I know... Everybody had a different relationship... everybody made one giant perfect person."
She did, however, single out one person she wouldn't miss: Kiosk Kev. After he threw cockroaches at her and denied her entry to the Jungle Arms, Ruby declared, "Kev is dead to me, he's finished."
Ruby's exit on Wednesday night made her the fifth celebrity to leave the jungle this series, a result that surprised many viewers. Fans took to social media to express their outrage, with some claiming she was "robbed" of a place in the final.
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! continues nightly at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
