The power couple joined former President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump for a lavish black-tie dinner on Tuesday evening. The event was held to officially welcome Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Washington, D.C. The guest list was a who's who of global elites, featuring Apple CEO Tim Cook and tech billionaire Elon Musk among other renowned figures.
During his speech, President Trump paid a personal tribute to the 40-year-old football icon. Trump revealed that his son, Barron, is a huge admirer of Ronaldo and that meeting the Al Nassr player had seemingly boosted his standing in his son's eyes. "This room is loaded up with the biggest leaders in the world - business, sports..." Trump remarked to the assembled guests.
The Behind-the-Scenes Glamour Revealed
Rodriguez later treated her followers to an exclusive look at the preparation that went into their stunning appearances for the grand occasion. She shared videos originally filmed by her celebrity makeup artist, Patrick Ta, which showcased the intricate process of getting her ready.
In one clip posted on Ta's Instagram, he was seen carefully applying eyeshadow to her lids and delicately dabbing blush from his own Sephora-sold makeup line onto her cheeks. The artist perfected her radiant look with under-eye highlighter, finishing with a nude lip liner and a glossy shine.
Simultaneously, her hairstylist, Dimitris Giannetos, was crafting her long brown hair into a glamorous, slicked-back updo. He was even spotted adding hair extensions to her ponytail before twisting it into an elegant bun. Rodriguez made a stunning fashion statement in a navy blue, backless Guy Laroche gown, a dress previously worn by actress Hilary Swank at the 2005 Oscars.
Ronaldo Joins the Glam Session
In a surprising twist, the footballer himself also partook in the pre-event pampering. Another video shared by Patrick Ta showed the makeup artist applying what appeared to be bronzer to Ronaldo's face as he sat calmly next to his wife. This appearance marked Ronaldo's first public event on US soil since 2017, when he faced rape allegations from an American teacher.
