Rita Ora Shares Bikini Thirst Trap, Talks Menopause Preparation

Rita Ora set pulses racing on Saturday as she shared a sizzling 'thirst trap' to Instagram, showcasing her enviable physique in a revealing black bikini. The 35-year-old singer confidently flaunted her toned abs in a skimpy triangle bikini top, paired with vibrant yellow string bottoms layered beneath a chic black skirt.

Stylish Snapshots and Playful Caption

Accessorising with a trendy black-and-white bandana wrapped around her head, Rita posted a series of zoomed-in and full-length mirror pictures. Alongside the album, she penned a playful caption: 'Further or closer - I can’t decide. Ps why does my finger look like that lol. PPS I haven’t done one of these thirst traps in a while.'

Health and Fitness Overhaul

This glamorous post follows Rita's recent cover feature for Women's Health UK, where she opened up about preparing her body for menopause and future family plans. The chart-topping artist, who froze her eggs twice in her twenties, explained how turning thirty prompted a major shift in her fitness regime and mindset.

'I don't want people to get confused with [my health journey] being about me being obsessed with my physical appearance, because I think sometimes that line gets very blurred. It's all to do with how I feel,' she told the magazine, emphasising that her transformation focuses on overall wellbeing rather than just aesthetics.

Proactive Menopause Education

Beyond adopting weight training, Rita has educated herself extensively about menopause after witnessing her mother undergo breast cancer treatment that induced early menopause. 'I'm trying to get ahead of it and learn about it,' she revealed, noting that working with Davina McCall on The Masked Singer provided valuable insights.

Regarding her fertility, Rita feels secure after freezing her eggs at ages 24 and 27. '[Back then] a doctor told me it was a really good time to preserve the best quality [eggs],' she recalled. 'It was actually the best advice, because now I'm in my mid-thirties and I have a lot of friends really trying to figure it out.'

Family Life and Stepmother Role

Married to filmmaker Taika Waititi since their secret August 2022 wedding, Rita has embraced her role as stepmother to his two daughters, Te Kāinga o te Hinekāhu, 13, and Matewa Kiritapu, nine. 'I've loved every second – the girls are just a dream. I think I got very lucky,' she gushed. 'We have a lot of fun – doing nails, going shopping. I love hanging out with them.'

Mental Health Wake-Up Call

Rita also discussed how a 2016 panic attack during a charity event with then-Prince Charles and Tom Hardy sparked her focus on mental health. 'Every time I see that photo of me there, standing next to Tom Hardy, I just remember how I felt. It was like an out-of-body experience,' she admitted.

'But it was also a big wake-up call. That was one of the first times I was like, "Okay, I need to do something about this." [Therapy gave me] perspective, and I think that's what I wasn't trained in.' This holistic approach to health – encompassing physical, reproductive, and mental wellbeing – underscores Rita's journey from her 'messy twenties' to her current confident thirties.
