Olympic champion Adam Peaty and his fiancée, Holly Ramsay, have whisked themselves away for a final romantic retreat before their impending wedding, sharing idyllic snaps from a winter wonderland in Lapland, Finland.

A Festive Pre-Wedding Getaway

With their nuptials just days away, the couple took a brief respite from their busy schedules to immerse themselves in the festive magic of Lapland. The daughter of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and the gold-medal swimmer appeared in high spirits, documented in a series of social media posts on Thursday, 19 December 2025.

Their snowy adventure saw them wading through deep powder, being pulled by huskies, and posing together against a pristine white backdrop. Peaty even joked online about being waist-deep in snow, while Holly exuded glamour in a bright red snowsuit, a look some fans attributed to the influence of close family friend and fashion icon Victoria Beckham.

A Mother's Heartfelt Plea Amidst Tension

The joyous holiday starkly contrasts with a reported family feud that has left Adam Peaty's mother, Caroline Peaty, feeling 'out in the cold'. In a recent emotional interview with the Daily Mail, Caroline expressed her deep distress over the fractured relationship with her son.

She revealed she was noticeably absent from Holly's hen party—an event attended by Holly's mother Tana, Victoria Beckham, and her siblings—and that her attendance at the wedding itself remains uncertain. Caroline stated she was at home during the celebrations, looking after Adam's young son from a previous relationship.

"The message I want Adam to hear is no matter what happens in the future, please know I love you, your dad loves you, you can come home and talk to me at any point," Caroline said. She added tearfully, "There's nothing you've done that I would not forgive. I love you so much."

The Roots of the Rift

According to Caroline, tensions began when her extended family was not invited to the couple's engagement party. The situation escalated when she sent a text message to Holly to express her feelings, an act which she says angered Adam.

She went on to claim she felt her son was in "Gordon's clutches," a comment that appears to reference Holly's famous father, Gordon Ramsay, and which has seemingly cemented the ongoing rift. Caroline described feeling so low that she "didn't want to live," but emphasised her desire for the couple's happiness, stating: "I hope your marriage is a good one, I don't wish any ill on you."

As Adam Peaty and Holly Ramsay prepare to say 'I do', their magical Lapland escape serves as a final moment of calm before their big day, even as family complexities linger in the background. The couple have yet to publicly comment on the matter.
